RELATIVE &
NON RELATIVE
PLACEMENT
We live in a world where grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins and even close friends of the family open their hearts and homes to care for the children and teens within their own family or close to their family. The extra expenses and overwhelming stress in these situations make it hard to persevere. Unless they can obtain a foster license they receive no assistance from our local government. When we support these relatives and non relatives, they are encouraged and feel that they can continue to care for these children and teens and keep them out of Foster Care.
HOW YOU CAN SERVE:
PROVIDE CARE BAGS OR EXTRA SUPPLIES FOR THE RESOURCE CLOSET
Many children and teens leave their homes without any of their personal items. These bags are filled with toiletries, age appropriate activities/toys, comfort items and pajamas to help them transition into their new home quickly. Care bags are needed all throughout the year. This is a great project for your family or small group.
PROVIDE A MEAL OR GIFT CARD
Life is hectic and feeding a family is expensive and that is very true for these families. Providing a meal or a gift card to a restaurant or for groceries encourages them and lets them know someone cares.

HELP WITH LIGHT HOME IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS
Mobilize your family or small group to help with light home improvements such as deck repairs, roof repairs, yard work, painting, installing play sets and more.

PROVIDE SCHOOL SUPPLIES
School supplies are expensive and to a relative caring for children and teens placed in their home this can become an overwhelming burden. Help provide needed supplies and a backpack to show love to the children and their family.

PROVIDE CHRISTMAS WISHES
Help these families provide a special Christmas for the kids placed in their care. By helping provide a child's wishes or donating monetarily your making a child's dreams come true.
